JOB SUMMARY
The Asset Group Supervisor reports to the Corporate Asset Manager/Asset Group Manager and supervises the Asset
Department (including Asset Managers, Buyers, & AMA's)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.
* Supervise the Asset Department (including Asset Managers, Buyers, & AMA's.)
* Drive continuous improvement of systems & processes.
o Develop and suggest more efficient procedures and processes to the Corporate Asset/Asset Group
Manager for consideration and implementation.
* Review and rationalize daily purchases (via workflow) based on PO value, GP%, and variance of historical cost.
* Review Sales order changes and deletions and assess to minimize liability.
* Be an escalation point for critical Purchasing matters.
* Other assigned tasks & duties
* Develop subordinates' skills and encourage growth.
* Ensure departmental compliance with the company quality management system (QMS).
* Possess an expertise of assigned suppliers in regard to policy, procedures, contacts, and products.
* Place Purchase Orders to fulfill all sales backlog and Inventory requirements for assigned product lines.
* Establish and maintain healthy line of communication with all assigned suppliers.
* Set a positive and professional example to all internal the divisions and suppliers.
* Review items to be returned on stock rotations and maintain sufficient inventory levels of stock items.
* Resolve any/all Invoice Discrepancies or Receiving issues.
* Assist with quality issues as necessary.
* Negotiate special returns whenever possible.
* Communicate with sales and product so that we can provide exceptional service to our customers.



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
* High School Graduate/ some College preferred, but not required.
* Previous Supervisory experience is preferred.
* Five or more years of Purchasing experience is required.
* Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook experience required.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
* To perform the position, you must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR. ITAR defines a US Person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (I.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
* Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines.
* Ability to be flexible with daily schedule and open minded with an excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (paperwork, typing, using mouse/keyboard). The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative
work.)
