Software Quality Assurance Engineering, Lead Associate

Responsibilities
    Independently develops and executes test scripts to ensure that quality software is provided for release to production and to certify system changes.
  • Produces expert level test plan documents and requirements. Develops test control databases.
  • Performs solution testing confirming mission requirements.
  • Maintains test repositories and databases and ensures their integrity and currency.
  • Distributes test data from control databases to development staff to satisfy adequate unit testing.
  • Develops, compiles, documents, and runs automated test scripts and test procedures. Runs regression tests.
  • Tracks status of defects.
  • Provides quality assurance testing for all systems to ensure the development and distribution of quality products.
  • Assists with roll-out of systems documentation.
  • Produces lists of defects that are to be resolved and incorporated into future releases of the application as required.
  • Communicates with analysts and programmers about formal testing plans, problems, and results.
  • Develops technical documentation and reports.
  • Works with other team members to manage the release management process for all changes to the baseline infrastructure.
  • Ensures all processes are adhered to appropriately throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensures all existing processes are fully documented, suggesting improvements, updating documentation, and communicating all process changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyzes test cases and functional specifications to determine best approach for automating scripts.
  • Creates automated tests to augment manual testing.
  • Promotes and adopts consistent testing standards, tools, and processes.
  • Performs analysis on complex mission requirements and software problems.
  • Performs verification and validation of software products, develops test protocols, and is responsible for drafting and updating documentation of results.
  • Experience with cloud architectures and application testing in the cloud is required.
Qualifications
  • Requires 7 years with BS/BA; 5 years with MS/MA; 2 years with PhD.
  • Requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Requires experience with cloud environments including AWS.
  • Requires experience with SecDevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Requires experience with scripting languages and automated testing frameworks.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
